Lazy Day Felting

I love needle felting because it's an art that requires time but the time flys by really fast. Today was a snow day so after going cleaning crazy on my room I sat down and decided to felt a Gnome. It took a little over an hour but it felt like 10 mins and in the end I had an adorable little thing.

The love of the felted Acorns

I have been seeing felted acorns for a while now and I really do love them. The look easy enough to make, it seems like the hardest part would be the actual gathering of the acorn tops. Where does one find all those tops? I guess in theory what you would do is find a tree with squirrels and just wait for them to drop some right? There are a lot of squirrels in Central Park but they are more inclined to rummage through the trash can them gather acorns. This will be my Fall Goal, to find tops and create felted acorns and someone integrate them into a center piece for Thanksgiving. Yup, that's what I'm going to do...
